Shifting to Peace and Joy (Part 13): Love Walks

Goal: Reset your view of the world and training your brain to see the good that is already around you.

This is an exercise that helps both your body and your mind, maybe even your soul too.

Start out on a 10-15 minute walk (or more, if you’re comfortable). As you walk, simply observe your surroundings and look for any evidence of love around you. This could be a mother holding a baby, kids having fun playing together in the park, maybe a dog rolling with reckless abandon in a pile of leaves, or an elderly couple devoted to each other and taking a slow walk together. Whenever you see any evidence of love, pause for a moment. Appreciate having witnessed it, try to feel deeply grateful, and say a little “thank you” for having seen or experienced it.

I personally go on love walks several times a week. I find they help me reset my thoughts and feelings by focusing on the love and good things that are all around me right now.

As always, take care and many blessings to you,

Nancy
