In my last blog I shared with you a little bit about the music of heaven that I and so many others have "heard" with both our ears and our hearts. I have also explained the origin of that haunting, unearthly song:
Heaven's song is the collective heart-voices of the angels, masters, and other souls sending their love, gratitude, and joy back to Spirit. Heaven's song also contains the underlying "sound" or vibration of Divine love that flows out to all beings, everywhere.
But here's the icing on the cake so to speak: Each one of us here on earth contributes to that heavenly song too.
Yes, this means YOU.
The human being that you are right now with all of your talents, faults, joys, and sorrows, also contributes to the song of heaven. Your being can add to the song just as much as any angel. Every time you feel or act or speak from a place of kindness, compassion, love, gratitude, appreciation, joy, enthusiasm, or even fun, the spiritual energy of that positive action or feeling-state travels outward from you. It radiates from you, in part, as spiritual energy that is truly a vibration. It merges with the other vibrations of love and gratitude from other beings and becomes one part of the harmony in the song of heaven.
So no, the "song" doesn't just reside in the spiritual dimension, nor does it completely originate there. It actually does reverberate through our physical dimension so that our physical beings, in concert with our souls, can actually add to its harmony and complexity. And it is through this vibration or "music" that the Divine surrounds you in love, even now, whether you can sense it or not.
I really do mean it when I say, "The love in your heart is God's favorite song."
Each time you send love to Spirit, lend help from of a sense of compassion, act in a kind way, or are truly grateful for what you have in this moment (among other things), you add to that heavenly song. It doesn't take much effort on your part. Heck, you don't even need to do it consciously or intend for it to happen. It's a natural consequence of acting and being in alignment with your heart and thus with Divine love.
Also understand that we don't need to die, be with someone who is ill, or be close to death ourselves in order to hear the song. People can sometimes sense it when they are deep in prayer, meditation, are out in nature, having a spiritual experience such as a vision, or even making a breakthrough in psychotherapy. For most of us in human form though, the "when" of hearing heaven's song is often unpredictable.
I believe we can increase the chances of hearing or sensing it if we engage in regular spiritual, soulful activities (prayer, quiet time, being of service, etc.). But from my point of view, hearing the music of heaven shouldn't be the primary reason we follow a spiritual path. Instead, remember that nurturing the soul has far more important benefits: creating a stronger, more tangible connection to God and other beings; reducing fear and anxiety; increasing inner strength, resilience, and confidence; being more "present" and in-tune with those around us; living a more enriched, joy-filled life; and so much more. Hearing the music of heaven is to me simply a potential (yet beautiful) side benefit, not the main reason for walking a spiritual path.
Your takeaway: remember that YOU are a part of Divine song and heaven's song is a part of you.
We are all part of the One Verse, the One Song.
